Deen Sharp at Kent State University CAED - "Spaces of Conflict"

Deen Sharp, Terreform co-director will speak at “Spaces of Conflicts”, a conference to commemorate the Kent State Shootings that occurred on its campus May of 1970.

The Spaces of Conflict conference is organized as part of the 50th Commemoration of May 4, 1970 event at Kent State where the Ohio National Guard shot four of the KSU students and injured nine during the demonstration event against the US war in Vietnam and Cambodia. This event triggered many nationwide protests and demonstrations in other universities.

The event is organized by Taraneh Meshkani and hosted by the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Kent State University, will engage scholars, researchers, and other attendees, on the role of space in in relation to different forms of conflict.

Felicity D. Scott, director of the PhD program in Architecture at Columbia University GSAPP will keynote the event. See full list of speakers and moderators here.
